[REMAKE]
Why a remake? More than one year has passed since the first time I've explored Quinta da Arealva. I was then obssessed with details and contrasting B&W. It was actually my first step towards my current mood & style.
A few days ago I have discovered, among the unpublished originals, a lot more photos that make so much "more sense".
I decided then to remake this Gallery, in a hopefuly more matured content and editing styles.

-- Historical summary

In 1809, João H. Serra started his activity in the wine sector. Years later, in 1913, he created his own company, "Sociedade Vinícola do Sul de Portugal, Lda", based in Lisbon. Cellars were built in Quinta da Arealva, close to the Tagus river, named after the newest associate: Arealva, Lda founded in 1916.

Later on 1931 a third company was established, based in London, with the purpose to sell Porto wine in the UK.

Currently the group's activity is wine trade, by selecting and buying the best wines from the best country regions. They are stored an Arealva, where they stabilize and mature, before being sold. The main traded wines come from trademarks as Dão, Douro, Vinho Verde, etc.
